HOW DO I MEET PEOPLE?
Our church is a place for fellowship and networking with other people.
Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mum, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community.
Listed below are some examples of how you can connect and fellowship with other people in our church.
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact, share and learn together, than larger groups. For that reason, our church is made up of cell groups consisting of individuals and families, with a view of fostering deeper, healthy relationships, and providing personalised pastoral care to each cell member.
The size of the group is anywhere from six people, and they meet at a time designated by the group, to participate in the various small group activities and study.
Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction. The children ministry of our church is recognised for their meaningful interaction with children.
YOUNG ADULTS FELLOWSHIP
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes, serious relationships, and a whole lot more decisions.
The young adult fellowship of our church provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people. It is a forum where young adults age 13 to 25 can come and worship and hear the word of God in a relevant and effective way.
It’s a place where young adults are ‘equipped with the word of God for growth and fellowship to make a formidable impact in their world for the kingdom’. It is also a place where the voice of our next generation is being heard today.
The young adults of our church are passionate about Jesus, and the fellowship provides an opportunity for young people to fulfil their God-given potential, with the aim to build a greater personal relationship with Jesus, and help connect young people to His cause and His church.
We use mentorship tools to help young people with their own devotional life, as well as opportunities to pray for the needs of the people in our youth ministry.
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s group meetings are times of Bible study, prayer and, of course, food!! These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.
Accountability among men is an act of integrity. The men’s group meetings are designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages.
Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack; internally and externally.
Our church recognises the need to provide ongoing support and counsel for married couples, and we aim to do this by organising seminars, meetings and events appropriate for building and sustaining healthy marriages.
The church also gives intending couples the opportunity to join marriage classes where topics such as Marriage and Money, Getting Ready for Children, Shepherding Children, and Sex is discussed, among other topics.
